Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe. He died of colon cancer at the age of 43, his family said in a statement.
Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante said on Friday.
He was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2016.
Boseman became everyone's favourite after he played the Marvel Superhero Black Panther in the 2016's Captain American: Civil War.
