Former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee Dies In Delhi Hospital


New Delhi: Former President and Bersian Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee died today at a hospital in Delhi. He was 84 years old at the time of his death. His son Abhijit Mukherjee tweeted the information.

Pranab Mukherjee, the 13th President of the country, was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian honor, in 2019. Pranab Mukherjee, who has been the President of India from 2012 to 2017, is a senior Congress leader and has held many important positions in the Congress government at the Center, including Finance Minister, Defense Minister and Foreign Minister.

In Indira Gandhi's cabinet in 1984, she was the finance minister of the country, and later in Narasimha Rao's cabinet, he was the foreign minister from 1995 to 1996. Today, his death has left an indelible void in Indian politics.

Former President Pranab Mukherjee, who was on a ventilator, was in critical condition this morning after undergoing brain surgery. The information was released by the Army Hospital in New Delhi. According to the hospital, Mukherjee was in a coma 20 days after he was admitted to the hospital due to health problems, but his condition deteriorated today.

President Ramnath Kobind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik mourned Pranab's death.
